
Assessor's Office:
The Township Assessor can assist resident's with property tax questions, homeowner exemptions, senior exemptions and senior freeze exemptions. Click here for the latest information from the Township Assessor.
Sanitary Sewer Systems:
Northfield Township Road District is responsible for an evolving scope of public services including the operation and maintenance of storm sewer systems and emergency services. Currently, three separate sanitary sewer systems are managed by the Township. Sewer bills are mailed out annually around the 1st of the year.
Voters' Information:
Do you need to register to vote? Do you have questions regarding absentee voting or early voting? Are you interested in being an election judge? Call or come into the Northfield Township office.
Disabled Parking Placards:
The Township can issue three month temporary parking placards; once an application form is filled out by a physician. We also have applications for permanent parking placards; which are issued from the Secretary of State's office.
Vehicle Stickers:
Residents in unincorporated Glenview/Northbrook and Northfield are required to purchase and display a Cook County vehicle tax sticker. Stickers are valid from June 30 - July 1 of the following year. The Township charges a processing fee of $3.00 per sticker ($1.00 for seniors per sticker). If you aren't sure if you need a sticker please call the Township office.
Dial-A-Ride:
Dial-A-Ride is a subsidized taxi service program for senior citizens and people who are permanently disabled, who live in Northfield Township, and whose annual income does not exceed $25,000 for an individual or $35,000 for a married couple. Once a resident is registered and has received an I. D. card, the may be issued up to 16 tickets per month to be applied to the cost of a cab ride. Click here to download a Dial-A-Ride application. Passport Service:
Northfield Township offers passport and passport picture services. Routine passport service takes about six to ten weeks. Expedited service is available for an additional charge and takes up to two weeks. Click here for more information.
Food Pantry:
The Northfield Township Food Pantry has been operating for over 30 years. It was started to assist Township residents who struggle to provide enough food for themselves and their families. The Pantry is sustained entirely by local individuals, community organizations, schools and churches who generously donate canned food, food certificates and/or funds. The Northfield Township Food Pantry is a 501 (c)(3) organization. Click here for more information.

Financial assistance is available for qualifying residents. Help with Public Aid forms and referrals and information about local service agencies are also available. Call the Township office for additional information.
