COOK COUNTY VEHICLE WHEEL TAX STICKERS

If you live in unincorporated Cook County and own a vehicle or own a business in unincorporated Cook County and keep a vehicle there, you are required to purchase a Cook County vehicle wheel tax sticker. Stickers are valid July 1st through June 30th of the following year. Sheriff's police officers enforce this requirement by ticketing vehicles. Stickers purchased after July 1st are subject to a late fee. Northfield Township charges an additional $5.00 processing fee per sticker ($3.00 for no-fee stickers).
Seniors who purchased a vehicle wheel tax sticker in either 2006, 2007, 2008 or 2009 and own the same vehicle are not required to purchase a new sticker.

2010 Cook County vehicle wheel tax stickers are available for purchase at the Township office. Northfield Township sells the stickers for the county as a convenience to local residents.

For additional information or to verify if you are required to purchase a sticker, please call 847-724-8300.
