Glenview Resident Open House

Whether you are new to Glenview, or have lived here for years, don't miss the Resident Open House! Township Prescription Drug Discount Card

Northfield Township, together with IPPFA Benefits, offer a free prescription drug discount card. 

The Coast2Coast Rx card allows all township residents, regardless of income, age or health status to participate in the program and potentially save on the cost of their medications. The card will also cover pets and family members living outside the Township. 

The Rx card is available free of charge and may be used at all pharmacy chains and most independent pharmacies in Northfield Township and includes over 60,000 drugs in its formulary.

In addition to discounts on prescriptions the card provides 50% - 80% discounts for lab and imaging tests.

Coast2Coast Rx cards are available for residents at most participating pharmacies, governmental offices, libraries and Township facilities.  Residents can also print the Rx card, check their prescription's prices and view the nearest participating locations at  www.coast2coastrx.com.  


VOLUNTEER DRIVERS NEEDED

The North Shore Senior Center is looking for volunteer drivers for their Escorted Transportation Service.

North Shore Senior Center requires an interview, criminal background check, driving background check, current driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities include: pick up clients at home, driving them to and from appointments, wait during appointments and take client home. For more information or to volunteer contact Maura Rogan, Volunteer Coordinator at 847-784-6052.

Helping Hands of Glenview is looking for volunteer drivers to drive senior and disabled Glenview residents to and from medical appointments, necessary shopping or personal care trips.

Drivers need to provide a copy of their current auto insurance card and Illinois driver's license.

2011 Cook County Vehicle Wheel Tax Stickers Wheel Tax Sticker

If you live in unincorporated Cook County and own a vehicle or own a business in unincorporated Cook County and keep a vehicle there, you are required to purchase a Cook County vehicle wheel tax sticker.

Stickers are valid July 1st through June 30th of the following year. Sheriff's police officers enforce this requirement by ticketing vehicles. Stickers purchased after July 1st are subject to a late fee.

Northfield Township charges an additional $5.00 processing fee per sticker.

Seniors who purchased a vehicle wheel tax sticker in either 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 or 2010 and own the same vehicle are not required to purchase a new sticker.

2011 Cook County vehicle wheel tax stickers are available for purchase at the Township office or on line at www.cookcountyil.gov/revenue.

Tired of scraping off old vehicle stickers?

Sticker Shields are available for purchase at the Township office. They provide many benefits including eliminating the need to scrape off old stickers, preventing adhesive damage and much more.

They cost $6.00 for a multi-pack and all profits benefit the Northfield Township Food Pantry.


North Suburban Homesharing Program:

Homeowners in need of additional income and willing to rent their extra bedroom can benefit from this free and confidential services. The Homesharing Program carefully matches homeowners with working individuals who seek to rent a room near employment. This is a program of Interfaith Housing Center and paid with Township funding.
